dang!!! this mesh top is the one of the vintage pieces i picked for rihanna while she shopped in beyond retro. honestly i wanted to buy it...but i passed it along to her. hahahha, and they say fashion is self-centered.

these golden yellow suede pump are an amazing retro style that are unique and inexpensive compared to the current kitten heel silhouette

i moved away and i almost forgot to post these last shots of the my patio renovations....

i have spend a portion of this month obsessed with repurposing jewelry. here are some finished necklaces...

this one is a silver chain threaded through a dismantled gold bracelet.



the next two came from the same gold tassel necklace. originally it was a cluster of thin chains draped around the neck with a knotted tassel hanging down the center. one of the chains from the cluster snapped.


i left the broken chain and fastened a heart pendant to the end and also attached a glass charm in the center.



i took the tassel and attached it to a contrasting silver chain.




i have SUCCESSFULLY talked my Mother into making me clothes. HURRAY!!!
dust off the sewing machine & clear the catwalk...cause Im gettin gear : )







i started to furnish my mom's back patio but im not content with this...i have MUCH grander plans in the works. and yes, powerwashing is still on the agenda.

but its a nice lil view huh?


one of my many august goals is flipping my Mom's backyard...

and planted some grass...where it was needed :)

OH MAN, i got so much to accomplish in August but I'm committed to complete both practical and whimsical projects. i'll spare anymore details on the practical projects(because there is far too much to mention) and strictly document all my whimsical work

Almost all of my closest friends are are hearing wedding bells (or already have). Its been cool to watch them select and choose the details of their special event. Their true personality shows through. The most recent to join the ceremonial club is my best friend, Julie. She has chosen to get married in a hotel. Not only is it beautiful but it has tremendous history.


It was built in 1908 by the same architect who created Ellis Island. The Hotel was fully restored for its centennial in 2008. Once a home for sailors and even Titanic survivors...its now more of a hidden treasure of New York. Its called the Jane Hotel...simply because of the street it sits on. The rooms are similar to bunks on a ship and their is high levels nostalgia throughout the entire space. I can not wait to be a guest and watch them get married...not to mentioned, I introduced them...hehehhe so I am particularly thrilled :)
